It is similar to a light/medium sweater weight. Unfortunately, one of my liquid items leaked in the box, even though it was wrapped well in a plastic bag from STP. Some of the liquid got on the item. I washed this item in cold water, laid out flat to dry and it washed very well. I thought this would be a nice addition to my fall wardrobe, especially for the price. I am happy with my purchase.
