5.0 out of 5 stars. This is THE bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by TomO from Montana on Wednesday, July 8, 2020These are my second pair of Alico Boots and I bought a 3rd just because I love them so much (and the price is unreal for this quality). It takes a while to find a good shoe and this is my ideal hiking boot. If you are a rugged hiker, enjoy off-trail wanders and demand a durable and dependable boot; look no further. My first pair of Alicos climbed many mountains in the Northern Rockies and Cascades, made their way across the entirety of Central America through volcanoes and saturated jungles, spent many miles moving through the Andes, and on their final journey they crossed two mountain ranges in Eastern Europe only to retire on an overlook in Greece. What more could you ask from a pair of boots?
I find sizing to be accurate and the wides are WIDE. I have very wide feet (112mm last) and found them to fit wonderfully, however, the mediums fit just fine too. I wear a size 11.5-12, weigh 160 lbs and I'm 6' tall. I use SuperFeet in all of my shoes and would highly recommend them to anyone that values comfort and wants to go the extra mile. Purchase a can of SnoSeal as well; these boots will look great and be waterproof for many years to come.
Hope this helps! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Extreme comfortVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rich from Arizona on Wednesday, July 8, 2020As soon as I put this on, I knew how the Jackson blew the othe five boots I had tried right out of the water Fits me like a glove with comfort and supports my ankles, as well. I just wish I had waited a week, as it was reduced in price by $35 dollars as a closeout.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Small toe box...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dennis from NC on Tuesday, June 30, 2020I have long, narrow feet, couldn't find a size to fit.. tried 10 to 12.... 11 was too tight, 11.5 is too big, still tight in the toe (vertically).
Boots felt good otherwise, wish they would've worked for me. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Happy feetVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ben Parker from Blue Hill Maine on Monday, June 29, 2020My second pair—first pair still going after years of strong use. This pair for backup and social functions (considered formal evening wear here in Maine). Great to have hiking boots that you don’t think about or rush to take off at the end of the day. They are great!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Trail Bum from Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 24, 2020Best boots I could find for the money. It takes a long time to break them in, but you'll be rewarded with years of comfort and support. Due to break-in, make sure the sizing is correct. Boots that don't need a break-in (synthetic) should fit out of the box. These on the other hand, should feel snug in the front and sides, but have a bit of room in the heel area. Due to the break-in, the back of the boot will form around your heels and the front will loosen after a while. Do yourselves a favor and replace the insoles; I used Superfeet Trailblazer.

2.0 out of 5 stars. I wanted to loveVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from Tn on Monday, June 22, 2020Purchased these after reading all the great reviews. Out of box the boots look great. I wore these boots around house for few days and my feet never felt so bad. I kept wearing them thinking they just need time, but for me it never got better. The fit was good with no heel lift and the toe box felt good, but oh just so uncomfortable. I have never had my feet hurt in the places they did after wearing these boots around the house for a couple days. I did try swapping the insoles with superfeet but not much help either. Maybe i gave up to soon, but i knew these just not for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Sizing may be trickyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Trail Bum from Massachusetts on Tuesday, June 16, 2020Great boots for the money, but the sizing may be an issue. I had to try several pairs to find the right fit within the same size. Some had the right foot a bit bigger and some had the left slightly bigger. After trying out several pairs with the STP return policy, I could find 2 pairs that fit well. You'd also need to replace the insoles, I used Superfeet Trailblazer.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Boots - However on my second exchangeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Me from Texas on Saturday, June 6, 2020Size runs a bit on the small side - ordered initially a 11.5M had that exchanged for a 12M - when I received the second pair Sierra had dropped the price quite drastically online - however they can't price match their price change - so returning again to get the better price - waiting for my "last" order to arrive.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nicky B from Maryland on Monday, May 25, 2020Very rugged, simple leather hiking boots, Italian made, very versatile. I’ve worn asolo’s, Merrill’s, Lowa’s, and several other brands, these are by far my favorite, the glove leather lining forms to your foot and creates a custom fit boot, I also love that the leather lining doesn’t smell like fabric linings after some use. These fit true to size for me and I like the stitched on Norwegian well that allows for a resole when the original wears down. I really recommend these boots even for general work type footwear as they’re tough boots!
