When Klaus Obermeyer became one of Aspen’s first ski school instructors more than 60 years ago, he had no idea that his lifelong passion would eventually lead him to start an outdoor apparel company. Among Klaus’s first innovations was a down ski jacket he created at home using recycled goose down from an old comforter. Designed and tested on snow-covered slopes in the Colorado Rockies, Obermeyer ski jackets would soon gain a reputation for offering superior weather protection, warmth and style. Although Obermeyer ski pants and jackets have come a long way in the last half a century, the tradition of making top-notch outerwear for skiers and riders remains the foundation of this brand, which is still headquartered in Aspen to this day.

Size in inaccurate.Reviewed by blessedimperfection from Utah on Monday, December 25, 2023I started out with a size medium for my petite 6 year old and when they arrived they were like toddler gloves. I returned and replaced with the size XL (because we have the matching bibs and coat). They’ll fit him this year but barely. The kids “molten mittens are correctly sized. My 8 year old is very big for her age (think an entire head taller) and the size Large will fit her for 2 years easily.
Nice gloves but the sizing issue makes them a real hassle (I hate dealing with returns). -

They are truly budget-friendly when buying through Sierra. I went with the bib since my ski jacket is more on the shorter side. It does have a relaxed fit, which I like because allows for freedom of movement. Bib gives also added coverage to the chest. They are a little long, but not a problem since they will be going over my ski boots. I used the sizing chart and also checked the Obermeyer website to get more details. I did order a size 12 and it fits like a glove. Can't wait to go skiing.
