Still may have kept it but it was too long for me. (size small; I'm 5'4"). I did not think it was tight but I'm returning it.

OK, but heavyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Rhode Island on Tuesday, February 13, 2018I had two issues with the shirt, so I returned it and can't speak to the insect shield quality. 1) The material the shirt was made of was quite heavy. There's a lot of spandex in it, so it's much heftier than the poly or nylon blends most of these shirt have. It wasn't going to be great for hot/humid places where I'm going. 2) The shirt was actually quite tight, which isn't ideal for a bug shirt which you want to drape loosely. I had a medium which is what I run in comparable brands (North Face, Columbia, Ex Officio), so perhaps going up a size would have solved this issue.

It was ridiculously long, and I'm just under 6'. Don't understand why it was so long, as I've bought other Avalanche clothing and it's fit perfectly. The shirt would probably look ok tucked in, but for hiking in buggy, hot weather, that's not an option.

The color is somewhat unique as shirts of this type only come in tan or beige. I had to go up from Medium to Large to get the proper fit.

He was comfortable wearing it under extremely hot and humid weather; aside from protecting him from mosquitoes (after 11 days no 1 bite) he was also protected from sun exposure. We packed very lightly so I washed it a few times over our trip and it dried quickly. I will buy a few more for him.
He is 6 ft tall and 145 lbs, size S fit him well. Very roomy and soft!!!! -

It is attractive and felt good on my skinny, although I usually only 100$ natural materials, i.e. cotton & wool. The fit was true to size. I got a compliment on how good it looked. I bought a second one in another color. Given the increased serious & long term threats from both mosquitoes & ticks in the Southeat, I will be wearing Insect Shield clothes to outdoor events & activities, such as yard work.
