Great boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Montana on Wednesday, September 16, 2015I am a Born boot fan and would have given them 5 stars, but for a slight defect in the ankle area of one of the boots. It is more stiff and pinches a bit. I'm hoping with more wear, it will loosen and become more comfortable. Even with that, I was able to wear them for several hours at an outdoor wedding without blisters or sore feet. These boots are super warm, run true to size and are beautiful at a great price! I would recommend them.

There is a lot of extra space around my calf. Still on the fence as to whether or not I will be returning because of this reason because they are comfy. If I ordered my normal size I do feel the foot area itself maybe a little snug. I am waiting for colder temps to see how it will all plan out.

Based on other reviews I ordered 1/2 size up and am glad I did, although I probably could have made my usual size work if worn with only thin socks. The only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the top of the boot sticks out in sort of a weird way - I'm hoping it's only temporary due to the way the boots were packed (with flat shapers that sort of forced them into an elongated flat shape vs. a leg shape). Otherwise, they may look a little goofy when worn with skirts or dresses. They seem to be reasonably comfortable, the heel is nice and sturdy, and there are treads on the bottom for navigating snow & ice. For the low price I paid, I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

The pair ordered online is quite comfortable. I love the above average quality sole as it is much less prone to slips due to the traction from the lug sole. Now I need more things to wear with dark brown boots!

The other reviews suggested ordering a size up because of the shearling, which I did. The toe bed in the bigger size is a little rooming, but the rest of the boot fits perfect. Very tall, and the sole is awesome in the snow. Dressy enough for skirts, and perfect with skinny jeans.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 - 9 size shoe and got these in a 9 1/2 because of the shearling. With that said, I still would not be able to wear thick socks. My feet and legs were extremely warm so they would be great in cold weather. The other downfall is that the shearling seems really thick around the ankle and started to bother my ankles after 15 minutes of indoor wearing. Just weren't comfortable enough for me to justify wearing and buying.

Love Born, especially their shearling!Verified Buyer Reviewed by sbrat from New York on Tuesday, December 16, 2014I have 2 other boots from this shearling series from Born; the Zuniga and Ilia, and absolutely love them....but hadn't gotten these yet, so when I saw them on STP for an amzing prive, had to have these too! I also got a pair for my sister, as she also has the Zunigas and the Rhoslyn shearling boots from Born.
I love the fit and comfiness of the Born shearling boots, and they are super warm...I also wear them on super cold days.... I usually buy a 9 in Borns but have to size up 1/2 size in the shearling. These are no exception to that rule.
The leather on these scuffs pretty easily, making light brown marks, but I just add some shoe polish and it looks worn-in...but might bother some.
A note about the calves on these; I don't fit in a lot of tall boots, have about a 16" calf....these barely make it for me...I usually fit in Borns but I don't think they add any width even witht he shearling which takes up space.....
