It is larger and quite uncomfortably so. The included shirt is very tight and form fitting. I could not imagine shooting shotguns in this shirt where comfort and free movement is necessary.

You can put the gel insert on either shoulder. My shoulder was sore the next day, but definitely less so than normal. Overall I'm pleased with this shirt and will wear it again.

The shooting pad is thick enough to be effective and thin enough to not impact your mounting. I own a couple other shoulder pads for the trips to Argentina and these shirts will replace those awkward shooting pads.

The insert pad is a little heavy, I would recommend getting a shirt that fits on the tight side as that will help keep the pad in place. I ordered a little bigger for more comfort but the pad moves around.
You cannot beat the price for this shirt, other places sell for over $60.00
Once you get used to the pad it really does save your shoulder.
