My usual size 9 is too short, and this isn't the first Rockport this year I've tried. I still have my older various Rockports purchased a few years ago, that still fit fine in the size 9. The half size up is too big and my feet slid forward in these because of the taller heel and being too loose. Had to return both sizes.
Just a note to reiterate about Rockport, I have a flat shoe style in the size 9, and tried the same exact shoe in a different color and it was too short. Rockport's sizing is not correct and needs to be addressed.
