Lighter and less/different materials than regular running shoes. That's why they are more fitted and wear out faster. They are not meant for day to day wear.
These are great race shoes meant for speed training or actual race days. -

I absolutely LOVE the carbon plate. I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of this shoe. Almost all of the CRAFT line is minimalistic and I have tried several different style from this brand. There are two things I absolutely DID NOT LIKE about this shoe: 1. The cut of this shoe is more narrow that all the other Craft shoes I have purchased (10 pairs total). I have worn the same exact size (8.5) from this brand for 5 years. I could wear them straight out of the box with zero break-in time. 2. The poor quality of outer sole material used. I have several pairs of Crafts from 5 years ago that I still wear. The soles are not worn out. However, this shoe didn't even last me 4 months. The heel and the front (ball of the foot) were worn out and I didn't wear them every single day and I didn't put a lot of miles on these, either.
I am a teacher and I wear sneakers EVERY day. I would alternate my shoes and still, they wore out quickly.
I will continue to wear this brand when I can find them on sale and order ones that have a better sole quality.
I have never been disappointed in this brand - until this pair.
Sadly, I can not recommend this shoe - but I will always recommend this brand!!!
