Lots lots lots of straps and places to attach extra stuff. It has the frame/back of their full sized backpacking packs which...might be a little much, but will definitely keep my back well ventilated. You can hang a water bladder inside and there are access ports. I like the size - it's bigger than my last day pack, but I might be able to cram enough stuff for a night of backpacking in.
