Filson Double Mackinaw Wool Cruiser Jacket (For Men)

Filson makes some of the best wool products, and this Double Mackinaw Crusiser is no exception. Their wool is thick, warm, breathable, not too heavy and not scratchy (unlike lower quality brands that are cheating and using cheap nylon/wool blends or recycled wool with shorter fibers that make you all itchy and uncomfortable, all while still charging a premium). This thing isn't meant to be flattering, but its rugged construction and obvious quality in materials make it a handsome piece that I'll be wearing for a lifetime. Sturdy collar you can flip up to block the wind, handwarmer pockets, 4 flap pockets for storage, as well as a slotted pocket for tools. 1 interior pocket for your wallet. Classic rear "map" pocket with snap closure creates a 3rd layer of wool on your back and you probably won't use it, but it's a nice touch and gives it character. The buttons are stiff and made to stay on the jacket, doubt they'll ever fall off. The wool breaks in with wear, drapes well, and doesn't restrict movement. This is a great outer layer for cold, wet, windy climates, and for the price on Sierra Trading Post, you can't really beat it. You won't remember the $300 you spent on it 20 years from now.
