It is not going to be as warm as a snowsuit, which is to be outside for an extended period of time. I got the 18/24 months (he’s 5 mos. now) so it can comfortably go over his clothes. It has built in mitten covers for fingers and the design is vibrant and cute. A good buy on sale!
