I bought my usual size 8 and they are true to size in length. They are a cushy build and were comfortable out of the box. I brought these as my single sneaker on a trip to europe where I wore them for both road running and pretty rugged alpine trail running up to about ten miles at a time. I was hoping they'd be "good enough" for trails, but I was surprised and impressed at how well they functioned on trail. Really good grip, the only time I've slipped in them was once indoors on wet linoleum. They felt secure on wet and even slightly icy trails. I did find that when really soaked through and running steep downhills the thin insole bunched up under my forefoot. The neutral monotone design also makes them easy to style as a casual sneaker. Great shoe.
