The left one is a little snug, the right one is a little loose. Just enough to be annoying. I didn't try these on until the return window had closed - at this point, I really should know better with stuff from Sierra... I am hoping the left one will break in with wearing & become as loose as the right one. ??????? IDK. I only bought them to wear for blacksmithing classes since they're real leather, but I might actually need to wear them prior so that so they - hopefully - don't drive me absolutely crazy with one being snug & the other being loose... SIGH.

In fact, after receiving and trying them on I almost immediately came back to the website and ordered a duplicate and another a half size larger for heavier socks in winter. I usually wear a 7.5 normal width with thinner socks and an 8 in winter with heavy socks. I ordered D width and my feet have plenty of free movement without slipping around. I will use these for casual wear, another pair for gardening and general work around my property. The leather is very soft and sort of thin so they may stretch out a bit. I will probably waterproof and condition with Obenauf's LP after a time if they don't repel water well. I'm really happy with these and look forward to a super comfortable sneaker weight boot for gardening!
