It was nice to not wear a bulky jacket but still stay warm. The outer shell should be great for spring skiing. The Omni-Heat really works. It was snowing part of the time and the jacket performed well.

He had a Lands End parka that he had worn for years. It weighed a ton and wasn't as warm as this one. The green is surprisingly low-key and attractive, so don't be afraid of it. It fits well, looks good, and doesn't make him sweat y underneath. A great jacket for a cold weather walker...down to -20, at least!

The only thing was I wasn't sure on size for him. He is a tall and slender man and I ordered a XL thinking he needed the length, but after trying on similar coats at a store the length in the arms are pretty much the same for the L and the XL. So other then that the cost was in perfect condition and I will order from here again!

The pictures on the website are accurate. It is a simple, warmish, waterproof jacket. I like the zip out function, separating the two jackets, but as time wears them, the zippers at the top of the jacket may annoy my face. I have had lot's of quality jackets from other famous outdoor companies, I'm keeping this one due to the quality and innovation of the jacket.
