I live in cold SD and it has kept me very warm. Blocks the wind well. I usually wear a 16 jeans, 38 bust, XXL in Columbia shirts and I ordered the 1X. It allows room for a sweater underneath and still not tight.

I read some reviews on this coat and measured myself to what the size chart says and I ordered a 2X based on that info. The 1X would've been perfect, but I ended up just keeping this one because I needed a light weight, short jacket for a trip I was going on a few days after it arrived.
