Mapantz from California on Saturday, April 15, 2017Initially, I wasn't crazy about the looks of these shoes, but I went ahead and ordered them trusting that ECCO has never failed me before (4 other pairs now). I don't know how they've done it, but this is the most comfortable shoe with a thin pair of good socks. I wouldn't hike a trail in them, but I'd walk down the boardwalk and into a casual restaurant with them no problem.

I tried one on at Nordstrom and found they now fit. I've lost weight and maybe they've changed their last. Anyway, the Nordstrom shoe fit exceptionally well and so does this one. It is just right for a slipon on my normally EE width foot. This shoe is a nice charcoal; definitely not black. Very high hipster appeal. Looks good with gray socks. The sole is thin like a Sperry TopSider, but is comfortable to wear for four miles walking. Way too casual for a sport coat. Great for travel. Light. The notches keep your foot cool, but water flows right in. I need my orthotics in since there's no arch support to speak of.

These are SO comfortable, from the moment I put them on.
Walking in these shoes is like floating on clouds -- really!
They also look nice, and the ventilation perforations should help keep feet cool on warmer days.
I appreciate Sierra's deep discount on these excellent shoes and hope they continue to stock Eccos for years to come... -
