5.0 out of 5 stars. Great is it fits you!

This is a sturdy and well looking helmet. Unfortunately, it did not fit me right. I could get it on and it was snug, and after 15 or 20 minutes I had a slight head ache around my temples. Also it was making me sweaty but that was probably just because it fit too tight. I am a small woman, and I have a 22" circumference around my head- I just thought I'd give it a try. Too bad for me! The black-blue looks pretty cool, I must say. Would be great if you have a very small head or for an older child or teenager.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. OK Protection, build appears cheap

I see some improvements over a $20 department store helmet. The plastic outer is more seamless than the cheaper versions, but the fit, adjustment, straps, overall shell on EPS foam is pretty much the same. I also had the plastic that interfaces with the adjustment band fall off which required some twisting to put back into place to keep things from breaking or snapping. I put a piece of duct tape over the clasp but it shouldn't be necessary for a "$140" MSRP helmet. But I guess it's an arbitrary number anyway. Zone of protection is good. The visor is a cheap snappy deal which is prone to being pulled off.

This helmet is lightweight, sturdy and extremely well made. In addition, it is very good looking. After wearing this helmet, I decided to toss my other one. If you can swing it.. buy one and a spare.
