Good for the antelope season and early hunts, I will be looking for taller gaiters for my late season hunts higher in the mountains.

Tired of rocks in my boots. These will prevent the debris from the trail from getting into the boot. The only thing I didn't like about the boot the ties that go underneath the boot are pretty a weenie. So I have to upgrade to replace those. Price was pretty much the going rate at other outdoor stores but I needed to add something to my shopping list to get the item that was discounted. I would recommend again for some or use on the trail to keep debris from getting down into your boot.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Great light duty gaiter

I bought these to attempt to keep mulch, soil, etc outside of my foot wear, while still allowing me to wear breathable boots and shoes during my summer work outside. They're light and not hot. Quality build, although haven't spent too many hours in them. My only complaint is my own. I bought these to to pair with shorts and the top bad is tight (not too tight) but it has little grip or friction to stay up on my legs. I imagine there would be little problem when worn outside pant legs but I won't know until mushroom hunting season on that. Cheers.

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
