3.0 out of 5 stars. Inexpensive HikersVerified Buyer Reviewed by Enjoying the rain! from Santa Fe, NM on Friday, February 23, 2018I was looking for a basic work shoe, but the overall width, especially in the heel, was too wide. I normally fit into a medium last.

5.0 out of 5 stars. comfort and durablitiyVerified Buyer Reviewed by BearWallowNV from NWReno on Thursday, July 27, 2017Needed an all black work shoe that could withstand 8+ hours of back-and-forth moving. This shoe stands to the test.
Tried'em for a week and ordered a 2nd pair. What's nice: wider than others, comfortable, stable, bit of anti-slip. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great fast hikerReviewed by George from NY on Sunday, April 23, 2017Cushioned enough so you're not punished on hard surfaces. Confident grip on slick surfaces. Stable and quite rugged even though they appear to be more of a sneaker than a hiker. If you want to rapidly move through varying terrain these fit the bill. Fit is true but in a precise ski boot kind of way. Don't expect a roomy toe box or mushy flexibility - a slight break in period is required.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fit like other Terrex models and work great for hikingReviewed by M from Midwest on Wednesday, June 29, 2016I've got the taller GTX Terrex boots for winter hiking and like them a lot, so I purchased these in the same size for warm weather hikes. They fit great and are just what I needed. The sole is stiff and thick, so I don't have to worry about stepping on sharp rocks. It also makes them nice to wear on casual bike rides since they don't flex as much as trail runners or light weight running shoes. The toe box is also stiff rubber which helps a lot when you accidentally kick a root or rock on technical trails. They breathe adequately, but my feet are always warm so anything more than a sandal gets hot. The right socks make all the difference. The sole has good traction as well. I've gone down some pretty steep muddy trails interlaced with wet roots and was more confident in these than many of my old trail runners. My winter boots have held up well to 2 seasons of abuse so far, so I anticipate these soles should last as well since they are very similar.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Still decidingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Range from Utah on Thursday, May 12, 2016Not as comfortable as I expected. Very rugged. Not good for running. Ok for hiking.

1.0 out of 5 stars. May have been defective.Verified Buyer Reviewed by John from San Diego on Tuesday, May 10, 2016These seemed like nice shoes. The right one was comfortable and felt fine. The left one, however, had a very hard spot right in the center of the arch support. I though perhaps they just need to be broken in, but after a day of hiking, it was no better.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lost Dutchman from Superstition Mountains on Wednesday, April 27, 2016These shoes have a solid build and provide excellent support. They also look cool. Several have complimented them. They are not like a pair of sneakers or running shoes, however. They are built rugged and are therefore a bit stiff. I am still in the break in period after two weeks of intermittent use. I would not recommend buying these if you are going to use them on the trail as soon as you get them.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Decent shoe. Wonky lacing system.Reviewed by Anonymous from Baltimore on Wednesday, April 13, 2016Any shoe that comes with a "manual" for its lacing system is too overthought or me. Why does lacing a shoe have to be so complicated? I see what Adidas was trying to do here, but I think Solomon did it better. The shoes themselves are fairly comfortable and light. The soles do not inspire confidence -- I'm used to Vibram -- but I've read positive reviews, so maybe others have had good luck with their longevity. Toe box is decently roomy. Fit seems true.
