It provides a little additional warmth over a jersey and can be taken off and stowed when the temperature rises. It works well over sleeveless and short sleeved jerseys. I bought a medium. I am 5'7" and have long arms. It fits perfectly. I wear a small in most brands, but a medium in Pearl Izumi tops.
