4.0 out of 5 stars. US 9 = EU 44: These run REALLY small!

I will leave a more extensive review when i get more time in these shoes but wanted to share some initial thoughts. I read multiple reviews before ordering and how small these shoes run. STP recommended EU 42 for US 9, and I initially ordered an EU 43 because everyone commented on how small these ran. Got them and they were still snug, STP exchanged them for an EU44, which fit well. I used them on a ride today for 60 min and they were great, very comfortable, no numbness. All good so far.

I ordered a 44 in these and they were so small I couldn't even get them on. I love the style, though, great for a ride into town and no one will know you're walking around the grocery store in cleats. Buy one or even two size larger.

These are an improvement over other MTB shoes I've had: relatively good for walking, and firm for pedaling. They do run a bit small. A little touchy to clip in with my pedals, but solid once connected.

Great shoe that does everything really well. It's a lace up so that tells you it's not top of the line. my usual ride can't handle a side ratchet so these are my solution. They are made by shimano but branded pearl izumi. I usually wear a 10.5 and these are a 45... Great fit.

I normally ware a men';s size 9, which STP converted to a 42. The first pair i got were an entire size small so they were returned and replaced with a size 43 (STP men's 10). I'm not sure how other sizes run. Overall good quality shoe, seems well made and lite, i expect them to last a while.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
