If using this for the cold it would be best to layer your clothing. The material is more comfortable to wear than my Gortex jacket and does provide a good range of motion without riding up. I like the many pockets and the arm pit vents. I haven't used this yet during heavy exertion but am convinced that moisture would not condense inside the jacket. This jacket was a real bargain from Sierra Trading Post and like all of the other Marmot products is very well designed and made with the highest quality materials.
