Texture does not make it soft as described. I've washed it a couple of times but it may get softer with more washings. Sits right below natural waist, but has draw string so keeps it from falling uncomfortably, for those of us that prefer to have "waist bands". The banded hems allow for length to fit petite women below 5'3" without need to hem. It would bunch a bit at the ankle area though. No pockets. Made well with finished seams, no hang threads.

Have to admit being a little taken aback myself the first time I saw someone wearing them! But they have grown on me, and I love this specific pair! I am 5'6", 130# and normally wear a small but ordered a medium as it was all that was available at the time. The fit is loose...but bearable. They are incredibly comfortable while having a little more style than your average pair of sweatpants. Great for working out, or running errands without looking too relaxed! They are warm but I pull them up if I get hot when I'm working out. I feel like they are good quality and have held up well for several months.

Unfortunately I threw the tags away at the gym so I couldn't return. They are kind of nubby and look like old man sweat pants. They were also very hot to play racquetball in, which is why I purchased them. The price was also pretty high for this product.
