I bought this jacket and was very pleased. It's very light and it seems that there is no weight. Her pockets from the inside are very warm and soft substance that pleasantly warms your hands. Size jacket fits exactly the description of my height 168, breast 105-108cm. during the inhale and waist 100 cm and it fits size L (43 inches).I experienced jacket the cold-36C it was somewhat cool and can work on short distances of 300-500 meters. When warmed up to -21C it started to work well and comfortably.I think this will work with little wind.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. A Good lightweight Down Jacket

This jacket fits true to size, I am 6' 190 and chose a large. There would not be room for layering, a shell over it perhaps. I have worn it in 20 degree weather and it is pretty warm. Construction is high quality, decent handwarmer pockets with zippers and a large inside stuffsack pocket.

This jacket is warm. I wore it out in a snow storm shoveling for several hours with strong winds and didn't feel the cold at all. I recommend this jacket.

Warmth with no bulk. Jacket weighs next to nothing. Would have preferred a left outside chest pocket or another inside pocket, but still plenty of storage space. Wear jacket in cold to mild temps; blocks wind well. Holds up well in snow but I don't know about rain.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
