They stretch out - a lot. I ordered my usual size, 28, and was swimming in them after an hour wear. ( Washed and dried first ). I returned the 28 and ordered both a 27 and a 26 just in case the 27 stretched too much. Both fit, the 27 gets a little too loose but it's nice to have a pair with a little but not too much room for those days you need it. I am 5'4" weigh 125, fit build. The inseam could be a tad longer. I've been wearing them with flats and sneakers so that is fine. With boots they might look a little high water, but my horse didn't say anything...
