He is 6' 210 lbs and the XL fits perfectly with room under it for a down vest or fleece shirt. In itself, it is not super warm, so that is why we bought for adding layers. He wore it snow blowing while the snow was coming down and the wet did not penetrate. If there is any complaint, it could have been a couple of inches longer, but he is a long torso guy, so this is usually the case.

I have another WS jacket that works well in XL, but that is due to the hem drawstring. This is a great jacket with features I wanted, but it is too voluminous.
