The toe box is pretty big which I need. The quality and durability of this shoe appears excellent when inspecting the materials and the stitching. Seems like it will last much longer than some other brand I have tried recently. The sole is solid as well and seems to offer good protection.

But they have a bit of a stiffener in the sole, less than some hiking shoes, more than some running shoes. And a beefier toe shield up front. But still a great NB fit and cushioning. So sort of a "mama bear" shoe between hard soled and stiff trail hiking shoes, and softer, lighter running shoes. -

Be aware that they are not American made and they are under sized by a full size or more in length. I usually wear 11 1/2. I bought 12 and would probably be happier with 13 if 13 were available. They are made on a last with the short high toe box. If you figure out the weird sizing and if they fit your feet you'll be glad you bought them, but I wish I had tried them on at a store before buying because other styles fit my feet better.

I ordered the 4E and it is exactly what I expected. I wanted to use these specifically for trail running but I've found myself using them for longer walks etc. They are a bit "colorful" but that I guess makes them unique. I was going to buy another pair if I could find a different color. Great shoes!

When I first put on a pair, I felt as if I was walking on air, or a cloud--no lie--and I realize that the description is a bit cliche. I get my exercise twice daily walking my two large dogs. Since they are coonhounds, we veer off road continually at every smell or drainpipe seeking small animals. (They go, I follow.) As it's been a wet spring, I was very concerned that these shoes, due to their net-like fabric, would not wash well. I was quite wrong. They wash beautifully. What else makes them great? The price is fantastic. The color is awesome. They are very lightweight. When four pairs arrived in one large box, I was convinced that the delivery box was empty.

Bought the 2E and it was just what he needed. Comfy, sturdy shoe with lots of protection. Sizing was just right. Wish I would have purchased half size bigger so they'd last a little longer. Very pleased and may go for the same model next time.

One shoe fits and feels great, the other unfortunately has an inside seam, where the mesh meets the toe protector, that protrudes far enough into the toe box that it makes the shoe unwearable (It feels about a half size smaller). These are going back. Hope your luck is better.
