5.0 out of 5 stars. Great fit.Verified Buyer Reviewed by T from Oregon on Tuesday, December 13, 2016True to size. I am a 7.5 most of the time and my feet tend in the wider shape and they fit perfect. I love the way the shoe laces at the top with a hook , it makes it easy to get in and out of the shoe.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Not just for hikers!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North Idaho on Friday, December 9, 2016I bought these shoes because I am an RN who works in surgery and thus am on my feet for sometimes 9-10 hours straight. I wanted a shoe with way above average support and padding for my feet as they get so beat up during my work day. These shoes are PERFECT!!!! I love them. I have worn them for about 3 weeks now in surgery and my feet are so thankful. The first two wearings were a bit sketchy but I paid heed the the review that said they needed a break in period and that was spot on. They are wonderful now.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Hiking ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ro Jo from Colorado on Monday, December 5, 2016These seem to be great so far. But the leather on the sides cut off my circulation the first couple of times out. I did loosen everything and so far they are better. Hopefully just need to break them in some! WHICH, I certalinly intend to do. Merrell's are great for me!! Happy Holidays!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good quality boots at a good priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from San Francisco on Thursday, November 24, 2016After using these boots weekly on hikes of 8-12 miles, I was glad to find them still available from STP. They were comfortable right out of the box, and fit true to size (10M). I also like that they stay tied without a double-knot.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Super walking/hiking shoe!Verified Buyer Reviewed by June on Summit from St. Paul on Saturday, November 19, 2016I bought these as a bridge from summer running shoes and winter boots - they are very sturdy and my birkenstock insoles fit in them perfectly (remember to remove Merrell insole first!). They are warm and I really like the black/white/tie-dye b-w design. They are 100% what I was looking for including great Merrell quality.
True to size (8.5 us). -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable but not my favoritesVerified Buyer Reviewed by JanetG920 from Brooklyn, NY on Monday, November 7, 2016I was seeking a replacement for my Merrell boots J32744, which I love. These, also size nine, produced pressure on the top of the foot with thin socks and felt small with heavier ones, so are apparently slightly smaller than the ones I'd been wearing. Yet if I went up a size I'd feel like I was in clown shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by DarRox from Georgia on Thursday, October 27, 2016Great shoe for day hikes. They run true to size. Make sure to take some time to loosen them up at home, which I did. It took one hike to get them truly broken in, but they are wonderful now. Color is great and my son says the look good on my foot. They are a very nice looking shoe and comfortable.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good Hiking ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Wednesday, October 26, 2016Last week I finally took these shoes out on a more intense hike (a 4 hour hike with much of it off-trail) and they held up well. They're quality shoes and I think they'll be good for my regular hiking needs. They're not too bulky and awkward and have a nice design. I think they do need to be worn in a little bit due to the leather, since they rub my hells a tiny bit, but I just wore some thicker socks and it wasn't a big problem. Unlike most reviews I would recommend a half size smaller than usual. I mostly wear an 8.5, sometimes a 9, and I wish I had gotten an 8 instead of an 8.5. They are plenty long, normal width, and since I have a very slim ankles, I think a smaller size might have helped with the ankle rubbing. Overall a great shoe that I would recommend to others.
