5.0 out of 5 stars. Hoka - Trail King...Reviewed by PSUBiker1 from Vermont on Monday, March 13, 2017I love Hoka shoes, and have several pairs... all found on the STP site... or in the store on their clearance rack... These are still sleeping in the box... I'll start using them this summer on VT trails... Snake Mountain... here come the Hokas....

4.0 out of 5 stars. Speedgoat by Hoka One OneVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Texas Hill Country on Sunday, January 8, 2017I am 210 lb., retired Army Staff Sergeant. Trail running is my therapy and I could not do it without the Hoka ultra padded design. I have tried a variety of other shoe brands and Hoka brands, including the Mufate and the ATR. The Speedgoat is by far the best. It is built well and allows me to get out on the trails, do some medium paced running and not aggravate my injuries. I love a Hoka but they are not made for Texas' Hill Country trails. So they have a tendency to wear down faster, and if there is too much mesh in the toe area they tear easily on a misstep. Having said that I love the support and max cushioning it provides on the down hill, especially because I am like a buffalo pounding the trails. Using Sierra Trading Post is about the best way to get an affordable price on a shoe that performs well and holds up to the test. The Speedgoat has held up the best overall so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Narrow in the toeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hunter and fisherman from Wyoming on Thursday, December 15, 2016I didn't get any running in because I knew they would not be comfortable. The toe box is to narrow for my liking. I typically run in Salomon speed cross or Brooks cascadias which both have semi narrow toe boxes. The speed goat was far more narrow than both. Quality seemed great. I would have given them a chance if it weren't for the toe box. Returned!

4.0 out of 5 stars. AwesomeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Rochester on Thursday, December 15, 2016Awesome shoes. They are made to treat them bad in the mountain and in the hardest conditions posible. You will be safe and happy running with them even if you do long distances. I recommend them highly

4.0 out of 5 stars. Cloud comfortVerified Buyer Reviewed by Vivo from California on Saturday, December 10, 2016I was skeptical about getting Hokas because I thought I might get off balance a lot. But, they are extremely comfortable and have good traction. The only downside is that there isn't a lot of arch support in this model.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Go Speedgoat GoVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Michigan on Wednesday, December 7, 2016I've been a fan of the Hoka One One shoes for a while. They've allowed me run with less sore joints and muscles. Been on the lookout for a good price on the Speedgoats to use as my dedicated trail shoe. I've been on two 10 mile trail runs with these with no issues. Great traction and stability. Not the super thick cushioning of some Hokas, but more than most for the trails. Hope they wear well as I like running in these.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Really a half size smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Arizona on Tuesday, December 6, 2016Great shoe, but as stated in other reviews they definitely run a half size small. I've been through quite a few pairs of Hokas and thought I knew their sizing well enough.......had to return for .5 larger. Other than that and not being able to comment on durability yet they are wonderful.
Great feel, firmer than the Clifton but perfect for a trail shoe. Vibram rubber feels great on trail, slightly sticky on pavement. No other way to describe it, it feels tacky on pavement. No problem for my multi-surface Arizona runs but could see it getting annoying for a long stretch of pavement. Just keep that in mind.
I run between 7-15miles, with the .5 increase in size the toe box is very roomy. I've experienced no movement from my foot in the shoe even on extended climbs. This shoe is a down hill beast, for me it's just perfect. The heel has a cut out that is perfect for how my stride shifts to heal strike on the decent. It cups the heel perfectly and just feels really good and stable. Helps with impact fatigue and wear and tear a great deal. If your naturally a heel striker I could see you particularly enjoying the ride. Just Run! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Speedboats rule!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Golden Colorado on Tuesday, November 22, 2016An amazing pair of running shoes. After having run in the same pair for several years I was blown away. A cyclist who hasn't run in months goes straight into three days of hard running with no joint pain. Amazing. I bought two more pairs!
