Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality, nice features & styling

I bought this for my daughter, after having just bought a Marker ski jacket here for myself. This review is based on my experience with my Marker jacket, which is nearly identical other than styling. Materials are very nice -- they feel substantial and the promise of Gore-Tex waterproofing is a big selling point. The insulation does not add much weight or bulk to the coat but the warmth is definitely felt. I was pleasantly surprised after skiing in just shells previously. It's not so heavy that I've had to completely change my layering strategy, I'm just warmer overall. Back to my daughter -- she likes the color, the feminine tapered styling, the arm pocket for her season pass, and the powder skirt to keep the cold out and the heat in. She also wears this every day to walk to/from the bus stop and is enjoying the warmth and hood & waterproofing for everyday use.

I'd also like to applaud STP's return/exchange process. My wife was mortified that I first purchased a white jacket for a teenager (fearing it'd get so dirty) and STP made the exchange process painless. I love that I can get immediate credit after filing the return electronically, so I can purchase the next item before inventory runs out.

Good jacket, but missing additional inner sleeves to stop snow coming into the sleeves...

About Marker

Marker got its start in 1952, when skiing pioneer Hannes Marker produced and marketed the first commercially successful releasable ski bindings. Marker continued to perfect his new binding system, and soon other ski companies began manufacturing releasable ski bindings. Now, with more than 50 years in the ski gear and clothing industry, Marker has become a snowsport leader, adding ski jackets, ski pants, snowsport helmets and goggles to the Marker product line. You can't beat a Marker Gore-Tex® waterproof jacket for a snowy day on the slopes, and Marker also offers performance mid-layer clothing like fleece jackets and vests. For legendary Marker quality at closeout prices, you've come to the right place.
