It is a great weight and has a zipper on the back panel. Also has a separate pocket for shovel, beacon, and probe.

I especially like the lack of straps on the back which minimizes the chance of something getting hung up on the chairlift. I also like the handy pocket on the waist belt so your camera/phone is always ready, and the goggle pocket on the top which makes transitions faster because you don't have to root around for your sunglasses or goggles.
The thing that makes this pack a dealbreaker for me is the ski-carry system. The skis end up sitting too far away from my back, and they wobble all around. There is a 3rd strap to stabilize the skis but for me this didn't help much. Plus, I don't want an extra strap to fuss with at every transition. So sadly, I am sending this back. BUT if you don't carry your skis every day and just want a nice pack to hold gear or use for regular hiking, then it's two thumbs up for this one. The lime green color is fun too!
