They are very sturdy. The best part is that they are attached to the case with Velcro so they can be easily removed for cleaning or use outside of the case. My dog is a messy drinker, so I prefer to have his water outside of the case. Great idea for weekends away from home!

I have these same collapsible bowls (without a case) and have been using them for travel for years. They are lightweight, fold easily and hold the right amount for my 19 lb. dog. Easy enough to remove for cleaning or to separate the food and water stations.
