Romika Cassie 03 Ankle Boots - Leather (For Women)

Very comfortable and easy to get on. True to size.

The style is funky/artsy for casual wear. The sole is very comfortable and cushioned for lots of walking. The toe box is ample so my toes are not cramped. This would make a good winter walking shoe/boot. The buckles, however, are meant to be merely decorative; they provide no cinching/tightening. The boots are too loose around my heels and ankles and, therefore, when walking a few blocks, my socks creep downward, forcing me to stop frequently and pull them back up. Unfortunately, this wasn't apparent just trying the shoes on around the house upon their arrival (Now, after wearing them, no return is possible.) I'm hoping that punching an extra hole for each of the buckles will allow me to snug these boots up so my heel doesn't rise up with every step. (Though that will fold the tongues of the boot over at their edges.) I bought a size 39, matching another size 39 Romika boot that I have. Perhaps a size 38 would have been better for this boot model.

I was not familiar with the brand Romika, but I am very happy that I decided to try something different. I typically wear Clarks, but with Romika I get a similar style; as well as a better fit!
