5.0 out of 5 stars. Great ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Don from Asheville on Monday, September 19, 2016Very comfortable and breathable. They have very cushioned sole. I use them for a 5-mile dog walk every morning on pavement and gravel. I have only had them for 2-weeks, and hope they last a long time.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Just OK.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from MidAtlantic on Thursday, August 25, 2016Foot bed is cushioned, but feels kind of lumpy under my feet. Wide is 2E; feels wider than NB 2E. Price was right. Like them but don't love them.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great right out of the box.....Verified Buyer Reviewed by scwinkle from Washington St. on Thursday, June 23, 2016I've been running in another brand for the last couple years because I was told I needed a wider toe box. I also suffer with planters fasciitis.
I decided to try these shoes on a whim, I needed a new pair shoes and decided to make a break from the brand I'd been using and these were recommended by a friend. What a pleasant surprise. These felt great from my very first mile. Ive only ran 5 or six times in them but I'am believer now. They do run true to size and there is plenty of room in the to box. What a cushy ride. Its been a long time since I've been truly happy with a pair of running shoes. Highly recommend these Asics. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. great . . . just not for runningReviewed by JOmega from Baton Rouge on Thursday, May 19, 2016I've got lots of ASICS, and my favorite for running (usually a few 5k's per week) is the Nimbus. I bought the GT-1000 because, it came in 9.5 4E and the price was right. It fits just like my Nimbus 17 in 9.5 4E. It is just as comfortable on the feet as the Nimbus, but not as light or as much cushion. However, the GT-1000 is great for walking (which I do on some off-days) and is very stable for interval training. I'm betting the GT-1000 is a nice upgrade from the cheaper ASICS, but if you run a lot spend a few more bucks on the GT-2000, Kayano, or Nimbus.
