4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice design, decent qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by WES from Los Angeles on Thursday, June 30, 2016Out of the box the 420HC blade doesn't feel nearly as sharp as some other knives I've owned, and there's a bit of play in the blade in the open position. On the other hand, the bumps on the back of the blade make it an easy one-handed opener, the handle has a nice grip to it, it's lightweight and you can never have too many bottle openers on you. It's a nice, versatile design and likely to get a lot of use if it stays sharp.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Buck,Very nice and useful knifeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Wednesday, April 27, 2016I want to buy this little knife for 2 years. I can say this is a quality blade. I think its a great EDC knife to add to a collection. I will be using this knife for backpacking and as an emergency rope cutter for climbing.
I've always liked Buck knives. But I did my research before purchasing this knife. I do a lot of camping, backpacking, and other adventurous outdoorsy things, so I wanted a knife that could keep up. So far the FlashPoint has been worth every penny. The blade came out of the box razor sharp. The carabineer clip is a great added feature and does in fact work nicely as a bottle opener. Opening the knife one-handed is very easily done by sliding the button back with the thumb and "spinning" the blade out with the forefinger. The knife has a bit of heft to it, but it's not too bulky. On the other hand, I found it to be a very comfortable weight. The slight heft makes it feel very solid and well-built.
Compared to other similarly-priced knives on the market, I'd say the FlashPoint is a solid contender and worth buying.
