Light to heavy rain occurs regularly. Jacket proofed to be the right choice. Definitely waterproof, light weight, great style. Looked well dressed in combination with nicer clothes. Wore jacket as cover up on cloudy days. Great wind protection as well. When neatly folded jacket fit in handbag.
