5.0 out of 5 stars. Staunch SupporterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Wannabaskibum from Michigan on Thursday, February 14, 2019These are my 6th pair. I buy black & hi-viz. When they are on sale I buy them for my employees. They work best when adding a pair of suspenders.
Pros: They are excellent quality for cool, wet work environments, winter sports activities or fishing. Great for layering. The full zipper system on the legs make for easy access. Tough & durable.
Cons: No front pockets. -
1.0 out of 5 stars. Greatly DissappointedReviewed by Anonymous from South Carolina on Thursday, January 24, 2019I work at one of the major shipping companies driving a tug and bought the whole rain suit(storm defender). I do not like the pants- My butt gets wet every time it rains because apparently these pants leak around the seams and I sit in water which collects in the seat of the tug. I have to wear a plastic bag over them if I want to stay dry. I don't like the fact that there are no side pockets which makes it is extremely difficult to get to pockets of pants underneath. The Pants are so baggy I have to wear suspenders(also carhartt) to keep them up. The clips for adjusting length did not hold well and i constantly had to adjust them and after a short time one of the clips just broke. Now I have to tie a knot in the strap on that side which is uncomfortable and most inconvenient! I have only washed the coat and pants about 5 times and now they soak up the water instead of repelling it and become very heavy. I have always heard good things about Carhartt gear but after spending $250 for the jacket and pants I won't do it again and do not recommend these products to anyone. I did not buy this gear from Sierra but could not find any where else to write a review.
