It looks good both ways- either with the coat closed or open. I'm not a fringe-lover, but on this coat, it doesn't bother me. It looks nice on my petite frame.

A wise decision as I was pleasantly surprised at the fit. There is enough room for a light to medium weight sweater underneath, which is enough as the coat is more late winter to spring transitional. Would not be my choice for a zero degree day. Sleeve length is perfect and the overall length is fine for dressing up or down. I love the interior snap and leather closure, this coat is a standout, different from anything in my closet. The collar flatters me and provides warmth. The lambswool is very soft, the quality and finish is excellent. The fringe is subtle in the black color and works for me.

Try it during an outlet trip and works very well, warm and stylish. Very good fabric and love the tussle detail. Plan to use even after baby are born, could see it would work even better when nursing!

I was afraid the buckle on the should would be poor quality but I was very delighted that it wasn't. It is a very classy coat and the fringe isn't overwhelming. I really like this one!
