Riedel has made the Bavarian Vinum series for years and the size and shapes are very traditional. The Cab/Merlot stemware is a large red wine glass (20oz) and excellent for semiformal/formal dinning. Some may find the glass oversized for casual use so take note of the oz size of the glass and also note that these are lead crystal. It is easy to do some research on the web as to the concerns - pros/cons of lead crystal.

However, the stems are extremely thin and therefore fragile. I've broken a couple in the past just during hand washing. Still, they're worth it for the price.
