I purchased the rich Marine blue color for him as a Christmas present, and as it sat under the tree, the temperature outside took a precipitous drop that is carrying forth into January. There is a zip cord mechanism at the bottom side of this jacket, and ribbed under-cuffs on the end of the sleeves to keep cold air out. Although, Sierra Trading Post describes this as a jacket, it also sort of wears as a pullover sweater. It is a very beautiful, high-quality product.
