5.0 out of 5 stars. Great coat, lightweight and warm
Reviewed by Jeannine from Buffalo, NY on Tuesday, December 13, 2016
When I first ordered this and received it in the mail, the weather was still rather mild, so I wasn't sure if I would keep it. It seemed too lightweight to be warm. I usually wear vintage coats, which tend to weight a lot, and have never had a down coat.

It is also slightly too big - as most things are for those of us who are less than 5'2". It was a little too long in the arms and in the length. Also, I wasn't sure about the color, which isn't so much kale as it is overcooked leafy green.

However - big however! it's gotten considerably colder over the past couple of weeks here in Buffalo, and it definitely has stood up to the cold. I walked to an event downtown yesterday evening (1.5 miles), and it was so warm. It also weighs almost nothing, so moving is free and easy. The color is also rather nice, even if it could be compared to an overcooked leafy green.

The one thing I don't like about the coat is that because I am so short, it comes down to my knees, which puts stress on the zipper, especially if I am riding my bike. I think for a person with "average height", it would come to mid-thigh or slightly lower. As a result, I don't zip the zipper, and usually just button it up.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Just right
Reviewed by All American Woman from Northern California on Sunday, December 11, 2016
I'm 5'4" 135 and the medium has plenty of room for a fleece jacket underneath. The length covers my thighs, so it is warm and cozy. I love the quality including a zipper that sounds like one on a sleeping bag. The removable hood and collar give versatility. I'm finally warm walking the dog in the early morning. The arms are too long for me, but I'm used to rolling up the cuff on jackets. Love the charcoal color and overall the coat is just right.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Small and bulky

Ran small in shoulders but also felt very bulky all around
It did not look good on me even if it did fit in the shoulders so I sent it back

This is a very nice coat. It is very warm and cozy. Because it is down filled, it is light weight and very comfortable. I am 5"3, It hits just below my knees. The pockets hit at the right place and the sleeve length is generous without being too long. This coat was a very good value! Thanks!
