Nice rod but it doesn't come with a case

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not sure it is worth the sale priceReviewed by Carl from MT on Sunday, June 26, 2016You might as well cut a stiff branch off a tree and save the money. In fairness I am comparing this to much nicer rods I normally fish with. That said, this like like throwing a solid piece of wood with no action. I purchased it for my girlfriend and will be returning it, I have seen rods that retail for this sale price that are much better.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice rod but it doesn't come with a caseReviewed by Swim/bike/run/fish/camp/snowboard/SUP/canoe in CO from Littleton, CO on Thursday, May 12, 2016I just recieved the 9ft 6wt. It's a beautiful green rod with understated black components and reel seat. I prefer the look of the maple wood insert that comes on the rod weights under 5. This rod isn't a lightweight, but the price is right and it balances nicely with a large arbor Orvis Battenkill. Should be a nice nymph/streamer rod for fighting large tail water trout, urban carp or farm pond bass. My biggest gripe is that it doesn't come with a rod case. Most warranty claims want the original case and it adds to the cost of the rod if you have to purchase a separate rod case.
