The soles are very very narrow, not as show. They look like an ice skate on the bottom.

The lacing and the inner zipper are decorative only but other side zipper allows for easy on/off. I bought in a size 8 and they run true to size. The height of the wedge is comfortable for walking too. My feet run slightly wide and often I have found that Adrienne Vittadini runs narrow but these boots fit perfectly. I love them!
