I even wear them outside for short errands, as the sole seems durable even though it's not very thick.

They seem narrow too but maybe that's because they run small? Anyway I wear an 8 tending toward an 8.5 vs 7.5 toward an 8. I just fit into the 39 but it's a bit shorter than it should be. They will not fit if I wear socks. The sole is cushy though so I expect they will be nice to wear in the fall.

They fit more like an 11. If you wear Crocs, these have that same nice large toe box, and seem to be nicely made. I just can't wear them. -
