I bought these boots for winter and for the days I want to look like I'm an outside type of guy. I really love the style and the double tongue. They are pretty much the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. Love em!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Full leather upper, simple soles, solid construction, very comfortable

I have had these boots for only one week, and worn them several times. I ordered them not so much as a hiking boot, but as a low-profile and sturdy shoe for travel and urban/rural exploration. As I broke myself in to them by wearing them around the house I was struck by how comfortable they are; I have tended towards minimal, zero-drop shoes for the past couple of years for daily wear, and wear FiveFingers and other pure minimal footwear at work(I am a movement coach), and only put on "boots" when I need to(read "when it snows"). These have given me a comfortable and light-but-sturdy shoe that I will most likely use for travel, but also don't make me sacrifice my desire for freedom of movement. They seem to work with several different modes of gear, from ready for ruggedness to B-Boy stylishness.

Love these boots so much. Comfortable, stylish, super lightweight but still rugged and tough.

My 12 year old loves them! That is quite a testament right there.
The double tongue is a little contrived, but not a deal breaker.

Good boot for the clearance price. The size seems to run a bit big, and the soles seem kinda soft and spongy. Definitely a leisure boot for just wearing around town, I wouldn't go hiking in these. They look fresh though, hopefully will hold up for a little while.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
