The fleece itself is slightly thicker than your average fleece material. It does well down to near freezing temps. The zipper is a left hand zip, which is typically used in female clothing. This is noted in the description, but I overlooked that of course, so I thought it would be worth a mention. The fit is perfect, probably on the higher end of what STP lists on the Jack Wolfskin size chart range. It fits how you would want a base layer jacket to fit - Enough room to layer shirts underneath but not baggy like a lot of fleeces out there. Its not waterproof or wind resistant but it does the job for its design.
