3.0 out of 5 stars. Not for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by Spruce Hill Bob from Berkeley on Saturday, March 11, 2017Good quality, but I ordered Extra Large, instead of my usual Large, as was recommended, and while this fit fine in the shoulders, since I am quite thin, the lower portion billowed out and left my lower torso looking not at all like the fellow in the picture. So I returned it.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Not For MeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Spruce Hill Bob from Berkeley on Sunday, February 19, 2017Based on other reviews, I ordered Extra-Large, instead of Large, my usual and customary size. But I am tall (6'3") and thin (165 lbs.) and while this was perfect in the shoulders, it was tight at the neck and billowed out as it fell toward my waist, leaving me with a look I didn't like. The color was attractive and the material of good quality, but I returned it.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Really handsome, runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from OH on Friday, February 3, 2017This sweater looks amazing on my husband! It's soft and traditional, but the way the cables curve in at the neck gives it just the right amount of modern to make it look cool. It runs a little small though, as most European brands do.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Very smallReviewed by tellulah from Pacific Northwest on Thursday, January 26, 2017Ordered a men's large so I could wear something under it and still be comfortable. This fits about like a women's medium. It was tight under the arms and form fitting. Not at all a men's medium which should have been comfortably large enough to wear a light shirt under it.
Quality of sweater seemed good though a bit rough and not the softness I would have expected for Merino Wool.
I'm returning it and ordering a 2xL hoping that will be large enough.
The thing that gets me is that by the time I am charged for the return I will have ended up spending nearly an extra $15 for something that was not properly sized to begin with. I will think twice about ordering in the future and will only order when I know the size runs true from manufacturers I already know. -
2.0 out of 5 stars. runs very smallReviewed by Dziadziu3 from Connecticut on Wednesday, January 25, 2017I echo the 1/24/17 review re size. I am a 42L and ordinarily order a large or maybe an xl for some extra room. Without any guidance from reviews I ordered an xl as the picture of the sweater on the model seemed to run tight. This sweater was way too small. The xl was more like a 40L. The color and quality were ok but the size was a real bummer. As with the other review, not happy about having to pay $6.95 to try it on.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Runs very smallReviewed by Anonymous from Richmond, Va on Tuesday, January 24, 2017I also ordered another style Peregrine. The material is a bit stiffer and itchier than merino that I am used to but not too bad and I really like the old school look, reasonable weight & warmth. Both this and the other style were 1.5" shorter in length and 1-2 shorter in arms than most XL's run. In addition, this one fits like a medium except in chest/shoulders where it borders on a small.
These would be 5* if the sizing were true to size. As it is I am keeping one with some misgivings and sending this one back at a cost of $6.95. Frankly if I ran an online store with items that have a reasonable chance of return I would just build the return shipping cost into overall pricing and offer free returns. Who wants to pay $6.95 to try something on? I would order in 2XL if not for return shipping.
