I am known for having freezing hands and feet if the temp is even below 55F. I thought about going a size up with these so that I could fit warm socks in, but even with a normal pair of smart wool socks, my feet were nice and warm. There is just enough toe room so that there is some wiggle room when going downhill--I'm not jamming my toes.
Lightweight! I don't feel like I'm wearing heavy winter boots...easy to move around. Highly recommend these for snowshoeing if you're like me and need lightweight gear to keep going on those day-long snowshoe hikes.
The height is great--a long pair of crew socks are a perfect pairing for the height above my ankle. The height on the top of my foot is great, too. I tend to dismiss shoes in my size because they rub the top of my foot or the nail of my big toe, but these fit just right.
I'll be sticking with Cougar boots for a long time!
