I always go up a size in running shoes, so the 9 fit me well. They appear to be comfortable around the foot with no rubbing issues. Because of a snowstorm, I haven't been able to road test yet, but they don't seem to be ultra cushy as some people had commented. One huge annoyance--they squeak LOUDLY when walking in my house on wooden and tile floors. It must have to do with the sole's material. I have never experienced this problem with any running shoe in my entire life. The price was low enough for me to give them a chance outside, so I'll keep them. But I will never purchase this style ever again.
