Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good Old Standard Product

This is the same Therm-a-rest pad that has been sold for decades, and that people who buy the fancy $230.00 ultralight pads call "that old Therm-o-rest pad" they used previously for 20 years. Not too light, no repair kit, and no bag, but still a good buy for occasional use. The medium gray color is very close to a foliage variant, for those who don't like the garish colors the newer pads come in. Condition is new, with no visible defects. It holds air. It's what I wanted.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Wow....

Very disappointed..... I don't think this is trail pro, there is no written "Trail Pro" sign on the product.
The worst thing is it comes without any sack!! You need to get one on your own.(Packed size is same as "basecamp" model)
Wheew....I just hope specified r-value is right so that i'm not dying while sleeping in winter.

This pad does not appear to be the Trail Pro model. Other reviews had mentioned this as well but it appears to be a much older model and does not inflate as easily as described. Disappointing.
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. NOT A TRAIL PRO
Verified Buyer Reviewed by tbp from CA on Monday, January 23, 2017
The mattress I received is not a trail pro. I thought the deal was too good to be true, and it is. I believe the may is the "Base Camp" which is heavier and has a larger packed dimension. Definitely not great for backpacking. Contacted customer service and they said it must be a typo on the site. Only leaving this review because it seems they haven't made the correction to the description or the photos.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Actual vs Shown
Verified Buyer Reviewed by paddlingwookie from TN on Monday, January 23, 2017
Make sure you read warnings about pictures. The item shown is a newer Trail Pro model, while the one on closeout is an older one. The only real difference is the shape. The one shown tapers, and is more narrow at the foot. The one delivered has 90 degree corners.

I am happy with it; I always expect some variation when ordering closeouts on products that change design every 3-4 years. This will serve will for my wife/kids use in the BWCA this spring/summer.

It is narrow enough to fit in the Junior Canoeist CCS portage pack. Will either partially unroll to create a pseudo frame or completely unroll to create barrel out of the pad and stuff other gear inside, then inflat pad after pack is full to fill in extra space.
